Micro-suction is very different from ear syringing or irrigation and is becoming the safest and most effective method of inner ear cleaning. With many practitioners favouring it for the low risk of damage to the ear.​

​

Micro Suction is pain free and uses a low pressure suction device to remove the ear wax.  It acts as a mini vacuum, but it is painless and less invasive than the irrigation and syringing methods.

How the procedure works

  • ​Book an appointment at your preferred pharmacy below.

​

  • Attend your 3o minute session checking the inner ear (both ears are included in the health check).

​

  • You will have a chance to discuss any issues you may be having with an NHS clinician qualified in micro-suction.

​

  • The micro-suction procedure will begin removing clogged/stagnant wax and will take upto 30 minutes.

​

  • You may be advised to consider further treatment if wax persists. Follow up appointments are charged at £10.

**Please note**

It is recommended to apply 5-7 drops of olive oil to the affected ears 5 days before your Micro-suction treatment for optimal results.
